About

Hello! My name is Crosby Wood, and I’m a props manager and artisan. I’m currently based in Winston Salem, North Carolina where I attend UNC School of the Arts as a Stage Properties Undergraduate within the School of Design and Production.

As a student, I’ve centered by studies around managing stage properties and set dressing. One of my greatest joys thus far in my undergraduate experience has been in joining our Prop Shop Management team. Ensuring that students, especially ones coming up in the program, feel warmly welcomed, that their unique communication styles are recognized, and that their needs are represented has been extremely gratifying.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed how my work thus far has expanded my leadership skills and communication adaptability - I look forward to pursuing opportunities that may further develop these instincts. Above all, I appreciate the work of character architecture - building a story based on carefully curated environments, however I’m able to contribute to them.

Outside of the theatre, I like to spend my free time reading and writing poetry, practicing fiber arts, and being in nature with my beautiful dachshund, Phoebe (pictured below, with some dear prop making friends!)

Thanks for stopping by my website and getting to know a little about me!
